“Surrounded by Nature’s Blessings”

It was once a lively coal mining town back in its glory days. After establishing the rainforest as a protected nature reserve area 50 years earlier, the mine closed down and the town’s development stagnated little by little, pushing residents to build new houses by the sea.

Landmarks

  1. Pokemon Center

    <aside> 🏥 The one essential stop for Pokémon Trainers to heal and recover their Pokémon after a long journey or an intense battle. This particular Pokémon Center does not offer any lodgings or a café. It is managed by Nurse Guita.

  2. Adanook Gym

    <aside> 🥊 Adanook Gym is one of the few Gyms officiated by the Ultern Pokémon League, and is led by the Fighting Type specialist Miji. In this Gym, it also serves as a karate dojo where Miji’s students come and train the ancient art of Ulternian Karate.

  3. Chura Matadome

    <aside> 🏟️ Every weekend this stadium-like structure hosts Matadome Battles, which are Pokémon battles unique to the Ultern Region. On weekdays it serves as an open battle court for Pokémon Trainers to have their battles at.

  4. Adanook Folk Museum

    <aside> 🏡 What was once a quaint two-story residential home, it was converted into a museum to showcase the life and times as a small town coal miner. There are dioramas, historical photos, and even displays of actual mining tools that were used before the mine had closed down.

  5. Drakhari Bay

    <aside> 🚣 West of the town is a coastal area where Adanook residents built wooden ramps and floating houseboats to work around the restrictions placed onto the town. Tamed and trained Drakhari are commonly seen idling on the waters of the bay, and are easily approachable. It’s also a popular diving spot where visitors can swim around the bay’s depths and watch or even catch the Pokémon inhabiting that area.
